1200 SPACE THEATER
The Space Theater boasts of its multiimage planetarium. With a 30
degrees inclined dome of 23 maters in diameter, it is the first one
in Japan, and seats that hold 300 people. The theater will take the
audience to the unknown world of outer space realized with full of
lively sounds and pictures.
PLANETARIUM
On March 3, 2001, our old planetarium aparatus was substituted for a new one, which was one of most advanced planetariums. It projects 38,000 stars down to magnitude 7.9, praducing the realistic starry sky. This quantity had gone up by almost 150% with new planetarium. The stars are about ten times brighter than the old apparatus. The new planetarium accurately shows the positions of the planets from any point in the Solar System.
1710 SPACE STATION
RZ1710 An exhibition
which causes a visual trick with mirrors placed at right angles. The
floating space station of dreams is the symbolic figure of the
Yokohama Science Center.
1720 KARAKURIN"ON THE WAY TO THE GALAXY"
KARAKURIN is workable formative art, which is made of
metal. The three aircraft, which are shaped like ancient fish, are
